Local Couple Boats On intoxicated Justice

According to the Parke County Sherriff’s departmentn on 8/7/22 Deputies responded to the area of SR 47 and Coxford Rd in Parke County reference two intoxicated people.  During the investigation Catinna M. Williams (49) of Crown Point was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, theft and reckless driving.  Donald D . Wilkes was arrested for public intoxicated, disorderly conduct theft and intimidation.  Both subjects are being held in the Parke County Jail on $8000 bond.

Catinna Williams has several local DWI charges stemming from 2021, two in 2013, and one in 2011. To cap things off a theft charge in 2009 for forgery.

Donald Wilkes has several local DWI, Public Intoxication, Theft, and Multiple Habitual Traffic Violator Charges spanning a course of more than 20 years in the making.

According to an investigation conducted by NINewsmakers.com the couple decided to go boating without presumably paying for their excursion. When approached by staff at the location they could not produce a receipt and were ejected from the property. Both individuals had presumably been drinking and Donald Wilkes became belligerent. Officers were called and the Parke County Sheriff’s Department responded. When officers arrived both individuals were trying to leave. Officers stopped the vehicle driven by Catinna Williams.

The state of our justice system has placed both of these individuals into the same boat. While they seem to be in a boat load of trouble they will both more than likely if history repeats itself as it has for them in the past they will sail off with little more than a slap on the wrist.
