Gary Court Clerk Under Investigation
An investigation by Northern Indiana Newsmakers has uncovered evidence of alleged mishandlings and mis-documentation of judicial orders and events at the Gary City Court Clerks Office. At least a dozen cases have been uncovered showing evidence to support this claim. Several of these cases span several years of alleged misconduct. Our investigation continues and as we have updates and further information we will issue additional reports.
Some of the issues noted have been not scheduling timely hearings on motions, misfiling motions on the wrong case file, not processing public defender appointments, among other instances.
