Wild West, Indiana
New Chicago Indiana Police Chief Jim Richardson of 4637 E 29th Ave Lake Station IN 46405 runs his town with a hard fist and a mouth of shame. New Facebook conversation screenshots have come to light detailing the way Richardson deals with situations when he believes he is protected by a fake account and a badge.
The position of a police officer is one in which we all believe should be held to a higher standard of conduct and duty. After all, they are the professionals dealing with all aspects of society on a daily basis and have had specialized training to handle situations. That is why we call them when we need them versus taking care of the situation ourselves.
You wouldn’t know that the person was a police officer behind this fake profile based on the tone and words put forth by the person behind the profile. Let alone the Chief of Police of all people. The wild west just got bigger and the Town of New Chicago Indiana moved in. Lawless unprofessional threatening actions of Chief Jim Richardson is all that comes to mind when seeing not only the obvious but blatant lack of self-control and anger when speaking with a citizen about police matters of harassment and slander.
This is not the only instance of unprofessional behavior the chief was caught in. Chief Jim Richardson was caught on video threatening to arrest a journalist earlier this year for recording outside of city hall before retreating inside when the journalist didn’t back down. Then officers under his direction proceeded to stalk and harass the journalist out of retaliation.
Weeks later after charges were filed against two journalists including the one harassed that day by Richardson a long time town official was fired after allegations that there was collusion between her and local democrat party members to bring charges against these journalists. The circumstances of her termination were mysterious and no explanation was given.
